Intro
I’m an experienced leadership and career coach as well as a psychotherapist with a background as a Chartered Accountant. I have been a coach since 1996 and have over 11, 000 client hours globally, across diverse industries. I’ve coached at all levels of the organisation, including executives and business owners. I am married with 3 children and live in Johannesburg, South Africa.
What is your specialization and style of coaching?
My expertise as a coach is supporting my clients to get the results they want, results that enhance their careers and increase their value proposition. Clients say I am warm, down to earth and engaging AND I am willing to have robust conversations to create insight and clarify their options. I am really good at identifying the key issues in any coaching context. With the length and depth of my experience I am able to elicit clients’ potential and empower and enable them to become authentic leaders and realise their full potential at work and in your relationships.
What relevant qualifications do you have related to your specialization?
Chartered Accountant CA(SA) United Kingdom Council Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapist (UKCP) EMCC Accredited Supervisor (ESIA)
What types of clients do you enjoy working with?
I love people and tend to work well with most people. I am deeply curious, caring and love meeting new people from different contexts and cultures. I have found that we are more similar than different and generally share very similar aspirations and desires worldwide. I enjoy working with anyone who is willing to engage in their own self awareness, development and learning journey, and is willing to commit to the process. This is not always easy, and requires a certain amount of grit and determination.
What types of clients get the most value working with you?
I have a diversity of clients and work in many different organisations and across different levels of the organisation. Clients who seem to get the most value from work with me have been those who are navigating change in their careers or workplace, challenges in their relationships, personal and/or professional and clients who are developing their leadership presence and style.
What’s inspiring you lately?
I love learning and being challenged, so besides reading, which I thoroughly enjoy for downtime, I play golf and find this extremely challenging as it is more of a mental game once you've learned the game. This really puts my ability to focus and stay positive to the test! I have also, relatively recently started working with couple again, and couples coaching is challenging and can be extremely rewarding. I continue to grow as a parent, with 3 adult children, navigating early adulthood. We get lots of chances to reparent!
